Abstract: In this talk, we use a relaxation scheme for conservation laws to study
liquid-vapor phase transition modeled by the van der Waals equation, which introduces a small parameter ϵ and a new variable. In the case of diffuse interface model for two immiscible fluids, in order to understand the motion of the interfaces between immiscible fluids, we use a relaxation scheme coupled with convex splitting method to solve a compressible Navier-Stokes-Cahn-Hillard system. Numerical results are given.
