报告摘要:
The Pieri rule for GL_n = GL_n(C) is one of the best known results on tensor product of representations. It describes the irreducible decomposition of V ⊗S^k (C^n ) where V is an irreducible polynomial representation of GL_n and S^k (C_n ) is a symmetric power of the standard representation on C_n. In this talk, we will explain how to use the Pieri rule to obtain weight multiplicities and bases of some highest weight modules of the general linear algebra.
报告人简介:
Soo Teck Lee is a professor of Mathematics at the National University of Singapore. He received his Ph.D from Yale University in 1993. His research interest is in representation theory and classical invariant theory. He has published over 30 papers in journals such as Bulletin of the American Mathematical Society, Compositio Mathematica, Advances in Mathematics, American Journal of Mathematics, etc.
