Abstract (摘要): Mathematical modeling is a powerful and important tool in studying the transmission dynamics and control of many infectious diseases including mosquito-borne diseases. In this talk I will introduce some basic models on describing the transmission dynamics of malaria, West Nile virus, dengue, and chikungunya. Then I will review some basic features about Zika virus and the status of the ongoing Zika endemic. Finally I will briefly talk about our most recent results on modeling the spread and control of Zika virus infection.
