报告摘要：I plan to discuss two models that arise in communication systems:
(a) a simple TCP model with exponential inter-jump times;
(b) a model of Poisson field in a random ball with exponentially distributed radius.
In both cases, there are only light-tailed distributions (Poisson and exponential), and in both cases we come to Weibull distributions with parameter < 1, which is a heavy-tailed distribution.
