摘要： In these three lectures, we discuss moduli spaces of translation surfaces. Translation structures on surfaces have been intensely studied in the context of Teichmuller geometry, dynamics of rational billards and several o ¨ ther areas. Their moduli space is (almost) a rank g vector bundle over the moduli space Mg of curves. It is equipped with a natural stratification corresponding to the partitions of 2g−2, and also with a natural action of the matrix group SL2(R). Of particular interest are closed orbits and more generally closed invariant subspaces, since they lead to algebraic subvarieties of Mg. In the talk I shall present some one-dimensional examples, i.e. Teichmuller curves, and ¨ also a recent example of an invariant subspace of higher dimension (in genus 3)
