报告摘要:  In this talk, we will study the Gelfand-Kirillov dimensions of Harish-Chandra modules for noncompact Lie groups.  In the first part, we recall some definitions about the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension. In the second part (joint work with Xun Xie), by using Lusztig’s a-function we will give a combinatoric algorithm for the Gelfand-Kirillov dimensions of all irreducible highest weight sl(n)-modules. In particular, from this algorithm we can easily determine the associated varieties of highest weight Harish-Chandra modules for SU(p, q). Finally, we will give a formula which can determine the associated varieties of highest weight Harish-Chandra modules for all types (joint work with Markus Hunziker and Roger Zierau). If we have enough time, we will report some progress about the study of GK dimesioins of highest weight modules for type B,C and D.
