报告人简介:胡光辉博士目前为澳门大学科技学院数学系副教授。研究领域为偏微分方程数值方法 的设计分析、算法的高性能实现、及在计算物理问题中的应用,发表研究论文 40 余篇。目前主持国家自然科学基金、澳门科技发展基金等多个项目,为 SCI 杂 志 Commun. Comput. Phys. 及 Advan. Appl. Math. Mech. 编委。


报告摘要:

In this talk, our recent progress towards developing O(N) algorithms for solving Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation, which is a fundamental equation in computational micromagnetics, will be reported. In the first part of this talk, the work in [Yang, Chen, H, J. Comput. Phys.,2021] will be reviewed, in which the bottleneck of the efficiency, i.e., the calculation of the demagnetization, will be introduced. In the second part, an O(N) algorithm consisting of a combination of PDE approach and treecode algorithm will be described in detail. The implementation based on the software AFEMAG will also be demonstrated. The performance of this algorithm will be demonstrated by numerical examples.
