报告人简介:数学博士毕业于马里兰大学,现于Penn State University从事博士后研究。主要研究方向为数学物理的动力系统模型,以及无穷测度上的遍历论研究。研究成果发表在Comm. Math. Phys., Ergod. Theory Dyn Syst.等国际学术期刊上。
报告摘要:In this talk, I will briefly introduce the Fermi-Ulam acceleration problem and the existing results on the subject. In particular, I will present my work on several variants of the Fermi-Ulam models: the bouncing ball in gravity and the billiard with moving platforms. We use techniques from elliptic as well as hyperbolic dynamics with singularities to study the ergodic and statistical properties of these systems on infinite-volume phases.
