Summer School on Automorphic Representations and the Langlands Program
(July 8th – 19th, 2019, Soochow University)
1.Objective
The Langlands Program is currently one of the most important research areas of Mathematics, and is deeply connected with the developments of algebraic geometry, algebraic number theory, and representation theory. This summer school aims to introduce to Chinese graduate students the fundamental ideas and techniques of the Langlands Program.
2. Organizing Committee

3. Course Contents
Automorphic forms and automorphic representations are the main objects of investigations in the Langlands Program. During the first week (July 8th – 12th), we give an introduction to the fundamental concepts concerning automorphic forms and automorphic representations; for the second week (July 15th – 19th), we introduce the main techniques in the Langlands Program, namely trace formula and automorphic L-functions.
| Course Contents | Speaker |
First week (7.08-7.12) | Eisenstein Series | Chenyan Wu |
Representation theory of real groups | Fangyang Tian
Representation theory of p-adic groups | Kam Fai Tam
Second week (7.15-7.19) | Arthur-Selberg trace formula and Endoscopy theory | Chung Pang Mok |
Local trace formula of spherical variety | Chen Wan
